Christian Rothenhagen’s artwork is a classic example of what happens when illustration meets gallery art. Seemingly vernacular backgrounds and textures mix it with perfectly executed line work. Christian uses a mix of mediums including Japanese alcohol pens, ink and graphite. He has collaborated with AUTO64 to create a series of video installations and animations.
What has been your inspiration for the EASTPAK ARTIST STUDIO?
first of all it's for a good cause. plus - it's fun and an experience to work with / on a surface like those backpacks. thanks for inviting me!
Which City do you live in – can you tell us what it’s best kept secret is?
i live in berlin and I love my city! secret? well, to keep the city the city.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Can you name three major things on your “bucketlist” – three things you want to realize before you “kick the bucket” / die….
whooow, that is a tough one. see as much of the world as i can, make someone smile, marry my girl... build a miniramp in my backyard (have to get a backyard first...).
