What has been your inspiration for the EASTPAK Artist Studio Bag(s)?
Belmodo.tv is very colourfull; both the logo and the online magazine itself. This season, you also see a lot of colours in combination with graphic elements at the catwalk. For example at Marni; the use of many colours and graphic elements in their designs makes you feel very happy and pretty. And it is the same feeling that we want to create with Belmodo.tv, so in that way, the link with fashion is easily made. For the graphic design on the Eastpak bag itself, we appealed to our favourite illustrator Alessia Landi of The Red Dot. Because believe me, the graphic talent at Belmodo.tv isn’t of a very high level. ;-)

Which city do you live in – can you tell us what it’s best kept secret is?
Belmodo.tv is located in Berchem, but I live in between Antwerp and Gent. I am keen on both cities and I always like a quick bite. In Berchem, you should definitely eat a sandwich at Café Stanny (Stanleystraat 1) or you should taste the delicious pastrami sandwiches at Caffè Internazionale (Volkstraat 21). If you are looking for a designer bag, you should definitely have to go to Sevens in Gent (Henegouwenstraat 38) and in that case, you sometimes forget to eat, right :o) ?

When was the last time you did something for the first time?
In the style of the “Muppet Show”, making my kids sandwiches and baking cookies with them.

Can you name three major things on your ‘bucketlist’ – three things you want to do before you ‘kick the bucket’…
I would love to produce a Belmodo.tv television show that places the Belgian fashion scene in the spotlights, launching a mother-daughter collection and once a year, taking a sabbatical period of 3 months.

The proceeds from the sales of your bag will go entirely to Designers Against AIDS – What are your views on safe sex? Do you personally think it’s still important?
Off course it is very important to have safe sex! You just have to go for safe sex, otherwise you just don’t do sex, right?
