Something of a “polyartist”, auto64 has always fostered a keen interest in developing a multitude of artistic genres from electronic music and sound design to video and animation, photography, illustration, painting and even robotic sculpture design. He loves learning new crafts, software and processes and seamlessly integrates them into his existing skills.
What has been your inspiration for the EASTPAK Artist Studio Bag(s)?
The inspiration for this backpack has been giant robots, primarily from Japan. This is an ongoing fascination/obsession with me and It seems like a good outlet for this to expressed.
Which city do you live in – can you tell us what it’s best kept secret is?
I live Berlin, Germany. Berlin has many secrets, too many to list. Its best kept secret is probably kept from me alas.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
A few days ago I sold an artwork at a exhibition in France, while I was still in Berlin.
Can you name three major things on your “bucketlist” – three things you want to realize before you “kick the bucket” / die….
1) Skydive
2) Tour internationally
3) Get more tattoos
The proceeds from the sales of your bag will go entirely to Designers Against AIDS – What are your views on safe sex? Do you personally think it’s still important?
I feel safe sex is more important than ever. There is a lot of nasty things that can happen to you if you are unprotected.. AIDS for example. Sex is awesome, AIDS isnt.. You can never be too careful.
